Jackrabbit Ops is an investigative research operation. Swarms of agents read whatever they can reach, looking for two facts that ought to line up and don’t — and then spend real time finding out why.
There is no checklist. A fixed list of things to screen for is an assumption about where answers live, and the answer is usually somewhere nobody thought to look: a customs manifest, a planning application, a court docket, a job ad for a factory that is supposed to already be running. Filings are one source among hundreds. The swarm decides what to pull next, and it is not limited by what we assumed at the start.
Nothing leaves here until it has survived being argued with. Every finding gets an agent whose job is to demolish it, and most of them are demolished.
Two kinds of answer
Sometimes what doesn’t add up is a company telling the market something its own records won’t support. That gets published, with its evidence, the strongest argument against our own conclusion, and a plain statement of what nobody could account for.
Sometimes it is a company quietly losing money to a bottleneck nobody inside has looked at in three years. That is the same kind of finding and a different kind of answer — worth taking to them rather than publishing. A swarm that only looked for things to expose would be wasting most of what it turns up.
What we publish
Investigations that came to nothing as well as the ones that didn’t. An operation that shows you only its hits is asking to be trusted rather than earning it, and the cases we dropped are usually the more instructive read.
Where we are
Pre-launch. Investigations are running now; nothing has been published yet. When the first report goes out, each one will state our position in the subject at the time of publication.

We are interested. Bring us the thing that has never quite made sense and we will point the swarm at it.
If we get something wrong
Tell us what, and why, with the document that shows it. Corrections are published against the original report. Nothing is quietly edited.
